I feel that the Black Widow and Spider-Woman should have been Spider-Man's heroine crime fighting partner before the Black Cat made her debut in 1979. Imagine if the Black Widow and Spider-Woman got to know the man behind the mask before the Black Cat showed up during the 1970's? I think that Marvel missed out on a huge opportunity to incorporate the Black Widow and Spider-Woman into Spider-Man's world by having some of his lesser known rogue galleries and allies become a part of the world respectively. I think that the Black Widow and Spider-Woman might have been close friends with Peter Parker if they actually got to know him very well outside of the crime fighting arena as Carol Danvers has.
